After completing his Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Australia, Evan continued his postgraduate studies graduating with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with Distinction in 2018.

Since having his own foot-related issues as a teenager, Evan grew an interest in the podiatric interventions that returned him to the soccer field. Evan has since grown a particular interest in combining his passion for health care and sport to provide treatment to lower limb injuries and biomechanical issues. Additionally, Evan enjoys the comprehensive scope of podiatric practice including diabetic care, ingrown nails, corns and calluses, fungal infections, minor surgical procedures, paediatrics and more.

He is an active board member for Podiatry WA. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, volunteering and continues to play soccer. Evan is fluent in English and Greek.

Evan is determined to help others achieve their goals and become pain-free.

B.Sc. (Pod)

Elissa graduated from Curtin University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry).  After graduating, she moved to the northwest of Tasmania and worked for the Tasmanian Health Service, visiting satellite clinics to provide much needed podiatry services. Elissa worked within a multidisciplinary team to educate and treat diabetic patients.

Elissa then moved back to WA and worked in a community health setting providing care to geriatric, diabetic and paediatric patients before taking some time off to start her family. She has worked with Junction Foot and Ankle since her return to the workforce and enjoys treating the wide ranging conditions that present to the clinic.

Elissa also has skills in acupuncture which she uses to help a variety of patients, such as those who suffer from chemotherapy-related conditions and pain.

Elissa really enjoys living in a quiet, bush environment in the hills of Perth. Walking through the bush or sitting by a fire with her husband, children and dog are enjoyed as much as possible.

Rachel graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine. Whilst doing her training, she worked for the Athletes Foot to develop her understanding of commercial footwear.

She has attended a number developmental courses and sessions furthering her skills in dry needling and acupuncture (trigger point therapy), foot mobilisation techniques and her interest in podiatric surgery. She has particularly relished the biomechanical aspect of various foot and ankle conditions in relation to strengthening, conditioning and rehabilitation.

Since graduating, she has ever since worked in private practice, and joined the Junction foot team about 2 years ago. She takes a great pride in building in her rapport with patients with her kind, gentle and adaptable nature. Having grown up in Mumbai and moving to Perth at an early age, she is very much enjoys cultural diversity and various cultural cuisines.

In her spare time, Rachel is often assisting in running a youth group at her local church. She dedicates much of her time to choir and serving the community. With a moment to spare from her busy hours she is often found playing piano and recording cover songs. She manages a great balance between family, work life and youth group.

Lisa completed a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the University of Western Australia in 2010. Since then, she has worked mostly in private practice Podiatry, across a broad range of clinical areas including biomechanics, paediatrics and diabetic care.

Dedicated to constantly enhancing her skills, Lisa attends ongoing professional development conferences and courses - her favourites have included courses on dry-needling and biomechanics. Lisa loves that her job lets her help people on a daily basis (just one of the reasons she fits in so well with the Junction team).

Lisa likes to spend her free time experimenting with healthy recipes in the kitchen, travelling and reading. She loves being outdoors, walking or hiking with her husband, and keeps fit with a bit of yoga. Lisa is currently on leave spending time with her beautiful newborn son. We hope to see her back at Midland soon!

Ben graduated with his Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle. He quickly realised that west is best and made the move to Perth in 2015. Ben has a special interest in sports podiatry, biomechanics of the lower limb, nail surgery and paediatrics. Like the rest of the team at Junction, Ben enjoys getting to know patients and providing a holistic, patient-focused level of care.

With a background in competitive sports, Ben has been involved in sprint and strength and conditioning coaching and working with sports persons and teams of all ages. In his spare time, Ben enjoys being outdoors, surfing, hanging out with his partner and their two dogs, and playing sports. Ben works at Junction Foot and Ankle Group on Tuesdays.

Jane is our Practice Manager, and brings to the role a very efficient and super organised mentality that keeps us all on our toes! Jane enjoys keeping busy and her skills have not been wasted looking after her two gorgeous (but not little) white shepherds. Recently married, she continues to remain as busy as ever.

Ashlee is one of our full time receptionists and complements our front desk administration beautifully. Like our other administration staff, Ashlee is super organised. Ashlee has a lovely presence and had no trouble fitting in with the team at Junction Foot and Ankle. She brings a vibrant, youthful energy to the practice, and has a wonderful, gentle demeanour.

Sophie is one of our practice receptionists who works at Junction Foot and Ankle Group on a casual basis. Sophie has always worked in customer service and enjoys talking to people, with her friendly and bubbly personality. In her spare time Sophie enjoys ballroom dancing and pottering in the garden with her kids and husband.

Please note, Paolo Ghiselli is no longer at our practice, and we wish him well in his future position. After 8 years we were sorry to see Paolo leave but happy to see him enjoying more time with his family and working closer to home.  We are pleased to welcome Lisa Bartholomew and Benjamin Hodgetts to our team of dedicated and experienced practitioners. Both Lisa and Benjamin have an interest in sports and biomechanics and complement our existing team.
