It was the end of an era for Junction as we said goodbye to Paolo Ghiselli last month. After 8 years, we are sorry to see him leave, but we're also happy to see him enjoying more time with his family and working closer to home.
All the team here at Junction wish him well in his future endeavors.
While Paolo leaves very big shoes to fill, we think we've found a couple of gems who will be able to do just that. We are pleased to welcome Lisa Bartholomew and Benjamin Hodgetts to our team of dedicated and experienced practitioners.
Both Lisa and Ben have an interest in sports and biomechanics so they complement our existing team incredibly well.
Want to find out more about Ben and Lisa? We gathered up some fun facts on them both:
Ben graduated with his Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle. He quickly realised that west is best and made the move to Perth in 2015. Ben has a special interest in sports podiatry, biomechanics of the lower limb, nail surgery and paediatrics. Like the rest of the team at Junction, Ben enjoys getting to know patients and providing a holistic, patient-focused level of care.
With a background in competitive sports, Ben has been involved in sprint and strength and conditioning coaching and working with sports persons and teams of all ages. In his spare time, Ben enjoys being outdoors, surfing, hanging out with his partner and their two dogs, and playing sports. Ben works at Junction Foot and Ankle Group on Tuesdays.
Lisa completed a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the University of Western Australia in 2010. Since then, she has worked mostly in private practice Podiatry, across a broad range of clinical areas including biomechanics, paediatrics and diabetic care.
Dedicated to constantly enhancing her skills, Lisa attends ongoing professional development conferences and courses - her favourites have included courses on dry-needling and biomechanics. Lisa loves that her job lets her help people on a daily basis (just one of the reasons she fits in so well with the Junction team).
Lisa likes to spend her free time experimenting with healthy recipes in the kitchen, travelling and reading. She loves being outdoors, walking or hiking with her husband, and keeps fit with a bit of yoga. Lisa works at Junction Foot and Ankle Group on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
