Mike and Julie have been practicing podiatry together since they graduated University in 1997:
We started up as Podiatrists at Junction Foot and Ankle Group (formerly Junction Podiatry) in 2001 and expanded our services throughout the eastern region, seeking to establish a practice that could become a vital part of the community.
We both undertook Honours, Post Graduate and Masters level qualifications with the aim of being accepted in the surgical training program with the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons, of which we were both successful. We share a passion of Podiatric Surgery to improve the quality of life of our patients and offer them an additional modality of management when non-surgical measures have been inadequate.
Our qualifications as Podiatric Surgeons recognise that we have completed extensive, post-graduate studies and surgical training, which enable us to perform reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.
In Australia, Podiatric surgeons adhere strictly to the same hospital protocols as other surgical specialties. Patient care and safety is always a priority and the surgical team works closely together to ensure each patient receives the highest quality of care and respect.
We work very closely with Junction Foot and Ankle Group, as well as a number of other practices in the region, offering management of foot and ankle conditions, and surgery where it is necessary for an improved quality of life.
