What facilities does Junction Foot and Ankle have?
Biomechanical assessment room
Our dedicated room for computerised video walking and running analysis has a multi-speed treadmill, a digital camera and SiliconCoach Pro software. Your podiatrist replays the footage with you to show how your feet, ankles and legs move, and you are given a USB copy of your analysis.
3D foot scanning captures the shape of your feet digitally. Together, these tools give your podiatrist more information than a visual examination alone. Learn more about biomechanical assessment.
Consultation and treatment rooms
Our consultation rooms are spacious and fitted with treatment chairs and instruments for the full range of general podiatry care. Each appointment is one-on-one with your podiatrist, with time to ask questions and talk through your options.
Orthotics modification room
An onsite room lets us adjust or make prescription orthotics at the clinic, rather than waiting on an outside laboratory. Whether orthotics suit you is decided after an assessment. See how custom orthotics work.
Procedure room
A dedicated procedure room is used for minor procedures such as treating ingrown toenails and removing warts. Your podiatrist will explain what is involved before anything begins.

If your problem calls for it, you may move to the biomechanical room for video gait analysis or 3D foot scanning.

Treatment may take place in the consultation room, or in the procedure room for minor procedures.

Orthotics and follow-up
If orthotics are prescribed, they can be fitted and adjusted onsite, and your podiatrist reviews your progress at follow-up.

Your podiatry questions answered
Where is the clinic and is there parking?
We are at 17 The Crescent, Midland WA 6056. There is free parking in the car park at the front of the clinic, a short walk from the entrance. If you would like help finding us or planning your visit, call our reception team on (08) 9250 1676 and they will be happy to guide you.
Is the clinic accessible for wheelchairs and prams?
Yes. Wheelchairs and prams are both welcome. The entrance has a ramp with handrails from the free car park, and the clinic has an accessible toilet. We are happy to talk through your needs before you arrive, including for NDIS participants and older patients. Please call (08) 9250 1676 and let us know, so we can make your visit as comfortable as possible.
How do you sterilise your instruments?
Our instrument reprocessing follows Australian Standards. Instruments are pre-soaked in an enzyme solution, cleaned by hand and washed in an ultrasonic cleaner before sterilisation. If you have questions about infection control, please ask your podiatrist or our reception team at any time.
What equipment do you use for gait analysis and foot scanning?
Our biomechanical room has a multi-speed treadmill, a digital camera and SiliconCoach Pro software for video gait analysis, plus 3D foot scanning to capture foot shape. You walk or run while we film, then your podiatrist replays the footage to assess how your feet and legs move. You receive a USB copy of your analysis.
Are custom orthotics made at the clinic?
We have an onsite modification room, so prescription orthotics can be adjusted or made at the clinic rather than waiting on a laboratory. Whether you need orthotics at all is decided after an assessment. See our orthotics page for more on how custom orthotics are designed and fitted.
What should I wear and bring to my appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing that lets your podiatrist see your lower legs, such as shorts or loose pants. Bring the shoes you wear most, including work or sports shoes, and any current orthotics. If you are booked for gait analysis, wear or bring your usual walking or running shoes.
Do you perform minor procedures at the clinic?
Yes. We have a dedicated procedure room for minor procedures such as treating ingrown toenails and removing warts. Your podiatrist will explain what is involved before anything starts. If a problem needs surgery, we can refer you to one of our surgical podiatrists.
