Meet our team

VANESSA HOUGHTON

B.Pod.M.(UWA) M.A.Pod.A
Vanessa graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine and continued on to complete an Honours research degree. Since starting at Junction Foot and Ankle in 2011, Vanessa has travelled to national podiatry conferences and enjoys attending professional development which enable her to keep on top of current research.

Vanessa enjoys all aspects of podiatry, but is particularly interested in paediatrics, biomechanics and injury management of the foot and ankle. Over the past two years, Vanessa has also been consulting in Kalamunda, at the Mead Medical Specialist Centre.

This clinic is mainly designed to treat patients with diabetes but accommodates patients with any foot and ankle complaint. In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys socialising with her husband and friends, going to movies, reading and keeping fit and active.

Vanessa is currently on leave spending time with her beautiful newborn son. We hope to see her back at Midland soon!

ELISSA BEATON

B.Sc. (Pod)
Elissa graduated from Curtin University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science (Podiatry).  After graduating, she moved to the northwest of Tasmania and worked for the Tasmanian Health Service, visiting satellite clinics to provide much needed podiatry services. Elissa worked within a multidisciplinary team to educate and treat diabetic patients.

Elissa then moved back to WA and worked in a community health setting providing care to geriatric, diabetic and paediatric patients before taking some time off to start her family. She has worked with Junction Foot and Ankle since her return to the workforce and enjoys treating the wide ranging conditions that present to the clinic.

Elissa also has skills in Western Medical Acupuncture (not traditional Chinese acupuncture) which she uses to help a variety of patients, such as those who suffer from chemotherapy-related conditions and pain.

Elissa really enjoys living in a quiet, bush environment in the hills of Perth. Walking through the bush or sitting by a fire with her husband, children and dog are enjoyed as much as possible.

HAYLEY

Hayley is one of our Friendly practice receptionists. She is new into the role of Administration, while she has past experience working in Customer Service. While her time at Junction Podiatry has been short so far, she has enjoyed getting to know all the Podiatrists and Patients. In her spare time she enjoys travelling to new places with her friends and family, while also trying new foods.

HELEN HOLTON

BSc(Pod) M.A.Pod.A
Helen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Podiatry in 2004 from Curtin University and has worked at our clinic since graduation. She has a special interest in the High Risk foot especially in the area of Diabetic Foot Care.

Helen is great with kids having spent many years as a volunteer leader for the Girl Guides. Now that Helen has two beautiful children, she works part time in the clinic.

Helen loves to cook and is always happy to discuss good food or swap recipes. She is a passionate supporter of the Fremantle Dockers and enjoys taking her kids to the games when she can. She loves reading fantasy novels (ask her about her favourite authors), frangipanis and a good joke

LISA BARTHOLOMEW

BSc(Pod)
Lisa completed a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the University of Western Australia in 2010. Since then, she has worked mostly in private practice Podiatry, across a broad range of clinical areas including biomechanics, paediatrics and diabetic care.

Dedicated to constantly enhancing her skills, Lisa attends ongoing professional development conferences and courses - her favourites have included courses on dry-needling and biomechanics. Lisa loves that her job lets her help people on a daily basis (just one of the reasons she fits in so well with the Junction team).

Lisa likes to spend her free time experimenting with healthy recipes in the kitchen, travelling and reading. She loves being outdoors, walking or hiking with her husband, and keeps fit with a bit of yoga. Lisa is currently on leave spending time with her beautiful newborn son. We hope to see her back at Midland soon!

EVAN PAPADOPOULOS

BSc (UWA), DPM (Dist) (UWA)
After completing his Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Australia, Evan continued his postgraduate studies graduating with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with Distinction in 2018.

Since having his own foot-related issues as a teenager, Evan grew an interest in the podiatric interventions that returned him to the soccer field. Evan has since grown a particular interest in combining his passion for health care and sport to provide treatment to lower limb injuries and biomechanical issues.

Additionally, Evan enjoys the comprehensive scope of podiatric practice including diabetic care, ingrown nails, corns and calluses, fungal infections, minor surgical procedures, paediatrics and more.
He is an active board member for Podiatry WA.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, volunteering and continues to play soccer. Evan is fluent in English and Greek.

Evan is determined to help others achieve their goals and become pain-free.

TRACY

Tracy was born and grew up in the Southwest town of Manjimup. She is married, has 2 grown boys and a new granddaughter. Alongside her husband, they operated their own business in Manjimup for over 10 years. In 2007 they relocated to Perth, to be closer to family, and worked in the public service sector until 2021. Tracy joined the practice that same year, which she says has been a breath of fresh air. She now cares for her parents and enjoys her time amongst the friendly staff at the clinic and interactions with the patients. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, following basketball and spending time with her family.
